The Characters
Orfeo - (Contralto) Grief-stricken at the loss of his wife, Euridice, he is granted permission by the gods to journey to the realm of the dead and bring her back to life.
Euridice – (Soprano) Orfeo’s wife who doubts her husband’s love as he struggles to free her from the dead.
Amore – (Soprano) The goddess of love who allows Orfeo to prove that love is stronger than death.
